I used to be intrigued by the space between things--distances. Lately, I've notived that objects themselves have equally much to say.
There is a tree in my backyard with bright pink blossoms which would take anyone's breath away. What I've found is that there is no distance between the tree and myself. None at all.
Then I look over at this mountain in the distance. It sits above the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas and has been named by them, Enlightenment Mountain.
I find there is no distance between me and the mountain, or the mountain and me.
If there is no distance betweenanything and me, then that space between things that used to intrigue me must have been ignorance.
